Electoral College Preview

Obama is questioned by Tom Brokaw Sunday from London on a special “Meet the Press” which may give a large audience greater insight as to whether his stunning trip overseas and meeting with world leaders enhances his credentials to be a commander in chief.
The next round of polls will determine whether it was a turning point in the campaign to ice it for Obama, or evidence that McCain’s mocking of his presidential presumption will resonate more with voters?
Two new Electoral College maps, by RealClearPolitics and Karl Rove, offer some insight into the race for the 270-vote majority.
RCP: Obama 238, McCain 163 – with 137 in the toss-up category.
Rove: Obama 272, McCain 183 – with 83 in the toss-up category.
NBC News’ analysis of the Rove map: Despite very recent polling in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin, Obama right now could lose every toss-up state (Ohio, New Hampshire, Florida and Nevada) – and still win the presidential election.
