Fiorina vs. McCaskill
12 July 2008 |permalink | email article
“Meet the Press” features an unusual woman surrogate battle Sunday pitting former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and McCain adviser against Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri, out front early for Obama.
Moderator Tom Brokaw will question them about tax policy, soaring gas prices, and other crucial economic issues.
But will he press Fiorina about her comments about insurance companies covering Viagra but not contraceptives – an issue which caused an uncomfortable McCain, when asked on television about it to pause for at least 10 seconds, before giving a painful non answer?
Savvy Republican strategist Mike Murphy, a key McCain player in his 2000 presidential bid – who opted not to become involved in the current campaign – debuts as a new NBC political analyst.
