Is Biden O’s Pick?

Joe Biden is off to Georgia at the request of President Saakashvili to probe Moscow’s incursion into Georgia.

The Democratic chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee will gather facts on last week’s clashes for Barack Obama and make his findings available to the Senate and the Administration.

Republican surrogates Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham, constant corner men for John McCain, are on a similar mission.

But Biden’s sudden high profile elevation is significant because he’s on the short list as a potential Obama vice presidential pick.

There’s a broad consensus that Biden would crush any McCain nominee in a Veep debate.
