While still Alaska governor in an e-mail she heaped praised on then-presidential candidate Barack Obama on August 4, 2008 for changing his position about a proposed pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the lower 48 states.
Just days after John McCain picked her as his vice presidential nominee she danced between her past skepticism of global warming science and his advocacy of a cap on omissions. Palin told ABC News that human activities “certainly can be a contributing to the issue of global warming, climate change”and “we’ve got to do something about it.”
Two days ago she was quoted in reference to an article by former Clinton CIA Director James Woolsey concerning Obama’s bizarre actions concerning missile decease. Palin attacked Obama for wanting to give Russia our missile defense secrets because he believes that we can buy their friendship with this taxpayer-funded gift.”

Why does the Los Angeles Times continue to insult the intelligence of shrinking Sunday subscribers with a phony wrap-around front page? Hard news is scattered with many weekday sections paper thin. Only a few veterans of a once nationally honored reporting staff remain. Is the new Times motto “All the ads that are fit to print?”
